The third Quarterly Labour Force Survey reveals that SA’s economy absorbed an additional 240 000 jobs between 1 July and 30 September 2022. This bolstered employment by 1.3%, which equates to a total of 15.8 million jobs. This effectively lifts the nation from the world’s worst episode of joblessness, leaving that unenviable position to Namibia and Nigeria.
