Studies in Poverty and Inequality Institute introduces socio-economic rights monitoring tool. For the first time ever, civil society has a tool in its hands that will enable it to evaluate government’s performance and hold government to account when it comes to matters of social inequality. Developed by the Studies in Poverty & Inequality Institute (SPII), and endorsed by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), the tool is aimed at enabling the protection and enhancement of socio-economic rights of South African citizens.
